Rauli Virtanen has covered wars and conflicts since the days of Vietnam in
more than 30 countries. He has visited 180 independent states. He was a
roving correspondent based in New York and London before having his own
program "This is Rauli Virtanen reporting" on MTV3 Finland.
He is the recipient of the two top journalism awards in Finland:
The National Information Publication Award” in 1993, and
"The Suomen Kuvalahti journalism award" in 2001.
Rauli has worked for all the major Finnish print and electronic media and
his articles have been published in The Far Eastern Economic Review,
The Independent, Cambio 16, Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet,
De Telegraaf, Tages Anzeiger
and The Baltimore Sun.
He is currently working on various projects in Asia.

Rita Strömmer
is one of the first female videojournalists in Finland. She
studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York while being a freelance
correspondent there for the Finnish media.
She had her own programs on MTV3 Finland, first Ritan mitalla and then
Ritan retket
, a travel program she filmed and directed in far away places
like Borneo and Robinson Crusoe Island.
In 2003 she directed, filmed and edited a 6 part travel series on different
Islamic cultures, in Egypt, Andalucia, Turkey, Iran, Syria and Malaysia. The programs aired on Teema, the YLE digital channel for culture and education.
In 2004 she also started to work as a stringer correspondent in Asia for the
Finnish News Agency, STT.
